Very Famous was first introduced to Adora (@adorahousenashville) via Instagram, noticing instantly her incredibly fab photos of life’s pleasures, rich in texture and mood. From seashell beds to semi-truck cockpits wrapped in Crown Royal-colored velvet to her own luscious paradise home in East Nashville, the world of Adora is filled with red-velvet round beds and Hollywood Regency glamour. So Instagram tells me you are the renaissance queen of glam taste between real estate, interior design, your podcast, and your home! How would you describe what you do?
Trying to make the world a better place one velvet curtain or gold trinket at a time lol😂 ✨✨ Right now I’m decorating the home I bought two years ago and turning it into a glam palace. Also working on my ‘63 Airstream, making it its own little paradise🎀 I live in my house but also rent it out for shoots and vacationers!
And yes, a couple of my friends and I have a podcast! It’s called Sex and the Music City, and we talk about dating and sex and everything in between with no filter and no shame! Always while laughing our asses off. Anddd I bartend at a local music venue here in Nashville and I am also a realtor! (It’s not cheap being this bougie lmao).
How would you describe your aesthetic?
Hollywood Regency mystique meets 1970s opulence. Plush, maximalist, deco, gaudy, lavish, glamorous. An eclectic mix of decades and eras that all come together somehow🙃
What has shaped your tastes, and how did your love for this sort of retro-chic design come about? What attracts you to this sort of warmer, plushier, campier design?
First of all, I love that you included the words plush and campy in your description of my design, haha! Definitely a compliment😂☺️ I’ve always lived in really old houses or apartment buildings, even while growing up. I’m not much into modern because stuff used to be so much cooler than it is now! With way more detail and thought behind it. I think the warm and plush side comes from the fact that I’m a homebody, haha. I want to feel comfortable in every corner of my house because that’s where I like to hang out!
But besides comfort, I also want to be surrounded by beauty, inspiration, and good vibes, so I need velvet, gold, crystal, patterns, lots of different lighting options, wallpaper. I want to feel enveloped by each room. It feels safe and cozy. And living in a beautiful dollhouse just keeps me in a good mood. My home is an extension of myself and I want it to be a happy, warm, welcoming place for friends and guests. Plus if I have a house people love coming to visit, I don’t have to leave the house as much LOL👏
What do you love about living in Nashville? What are some of your favorite places in the city?
So many great things about Nashville! So many motivated, creative people here. And they love to collaborate! I’ve found it easy to make friends here, even as an adult, which is encouraging and awesome. And I was able to afford to buy a decent-sized house with a big yard here! I live in East Nashville, and it’s definitely my favorite area in the city. So much to do and so many cool, like-minded people surrounding me.
Some of my favorite places to go include a few of my favorite vegan restaurants: The Wild Cow, Graze, Falcon Coffee Bar, and The BE-Hive. I love High Garden for tea and kombucha (I LOVE kombucha). And Rosemary in Five Points for drinks.
What and who inspires you?
I’m inspired by anyone out there hustling and taking on the world, while also making a positive difference in it and being nice to everyone along the way. This includes a lot of my friends💗 Also inspired by people my grandparents’ age who have no fucks left to give and aren’t trying to impress anyone💯🙌
What are three things that make you feel Very Famous?

2) Don’t text him first. You can’t set the tone that you’ll do everything—make them work for it. And if they don’t wanna work for it, they’re either terrible at communication (so you’re better off without them) or they’re just not into you enough (move on, they’re just a blip on the radar, and you’ll feel better about yourself by not chasing after someone).
3) Be yourself from the beginning and be confident in it! If it’s not a match, don’t take it personally. I promise you’ll look back and wonder why you even liked them in the first place—if you even remember them at all, ha!
