Content Starts Late Night Real Estate: Be the Strip Mall Queen of Orange County!

Published by

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wouldn’t it cool if I owned a whole, beautiful shopping center with an exterior both tastefully subtle and of-the-people?” If you haven’t, you’re sure as heck about to!

You can live your very own O.C. dream in Corona Del Mar, California, with two “retail properties” available for $10,100,000. Both strip malls offer their unique portfolios of enticing lifestyle businesses in a vaguely retro setting. The first shopping center at 3601-3617 E Coast Hwy is described as having a “synergistic tenant mix”, and I think you’ll see what they mean when you learn that the businesses deal in the trades of jewelry, tobacco, Thai massage, hair, Mediterranean food, Mexican food, and flowers.

Almost all of life’s pleasures serendipitously located next to See’s Candies and a five-minute walk from beachside spot Inspiration Point! Cory and Max at Corona Del Mar Jewelry Consignment, in particular, have received stellar reviews. Bloom’s Flowers is the visual trophy, with its lovely umbrella-shaded blooms lining the sidewalk reminding you that you live in a little slice of heaven.

Now, your other Corona del Mar strip mall at 3838 E. Coast Hwy is a little less flashy, but what its exterior lacks in style, your tenants more than make up for in substance! Bella Couture, Royal Cleaners, and Happy D’s Pet Spa currently occupy the corner of the famed Pacific Coast Highway (“We’ve been on the run, drivin’ in the sun”!) and Hazel Drive. The strip mall is less than a block away from the first property and across the street from an assisted living facility and a steakhouse made to look like an English countryside manor.

Bella Couture appears to be a hybrid spray tan, eyelash service, clothing boutique with an elegant crystal chandelier and a review expressing, “The owner is such a doll and really cares about your shopping experience!” Royal Cleaners has 4.5 stars, and Meme is touted by many Orange County citizens as the best dry cleaner in the O.C.! Last but never least, Happy D’s possesses what has got to be the most glam sign in the pet biz with a sassy, choker-wearing terrier, lots of pink, and cursive font.

The interior of D’s is all pink and purple, and each cage has a pink bow on it. However, Yelp reviews indicated this saccharine palate may be hiding mediocre service—some reviews are fab, a few others had dogs with too much fur removed. As the new landlord, perhaps say an introspective hello to Happy D’s!

Surrounding the 3838 E. Coast Hwy property is Astroturf and Palm Trees—if you feel it, you feel it! Read the full listing here.
