Wearing Running Shorts to Club Paradise
When I would see sorority gurls walk around campus in Nike Tempo shorts and oversized T-shirts, I never understood their wardrobe conformity and why incognito gym wear was their uniform. But as life has taught me in sneaky ways, the things I’m the most skeptical and upset about are usually the things I want most.
It turns out what I want most is to be comfortable all the time. 24/7, 365, easy-breezy shorts stay on my mind! Tight, crotch-riding denim shorts are good for three hours before low-frequency UTI symptoms and chafing develop. Running shorts are eternal! Sometimes I’ll switch from one pair of elastic, neon shorts to another and call it “getting dressed for the day.”
And if you’re looking for that “day to night” look, running shorts deliver. I’ve been stopped in bars by people of varying ages and genders and geographic areas who compliment me on my comfort! Because the secret to getting down reeeeeeaaaaal low is a polyester dry-fit material and built-in underwear. Slap on a crop top and a rhinestone choker, and puppy, you’re ready to go. Below, for the dog-ish days of summer, a good outfit for your consideration:
