Looking for a new life? A chance to head west? The opportunity to serve warm pizza to the denizens of a Wyoming town during the dead of an unforgiving winter? Tony’s Pizza of Lander, WY can be yours! Right in the middle of downtown, Tony’s Pizza at 637 Main Street is available for purchase at $399,000. View the full listing on LoopNet

This pizzeria offers a somewhat unconventional setup of a sizeable wood and stone building with a long, narrow breezeway extending through the parking lot. There’s a huge deck on top that overlooks the town of Lander. The inside of Tony’s, Google Images tells me, has a few lovely paintings, including a pastoral stained glass picture of Tony’s logo nestled among hills.

A few things to know about Lander, Wyoming, your new town of residence! It’s at the foot of the Wind River reservation, home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Native American tribes. Also of historical note: The town is known for holding the first rodeo where cowboys were paid for their work.

Reviews for Tony’s Pizza, which appears to be still open, are at a solid three stars. Gary C. says, “We’ve been eating at Tony’s for almost 20 years now. I think it’s seen a few different owners in that time.” But, he continues, the “bread recipe seems to have survived all these years.” Lucas R. has a less than favorable review, suggesting that diners “do yourself a favor and skip it for a cheese wheel at Dairyland.” But John B., a New Yorker who now resides in Casper, argues that Tony’s is the real deal. “Being from NY and a pizza junkie of sorts, this is as close to NY style pizza as it gets!!!”

This all goes to say, there may be room for improvement at Tony’s Pizzeria and maybe — ever so slightly — reinvention, just as you will reinvent yourself in your new home of Lander. Just keep the bread recipe!
