⭐️Late Night Real Estate⭐️ Flexible Coral and Paper Fireplaces in Florida
Listen, we know not a lot of us have $3,500,000 laying around right now. Times like these? Gals like us? But say we did. And say we wanted to make a wise, escapist real estate investment somewhere in Florida that captured the joie de vivre of our time in the late ’80s-’90s greeting card business. We would walk into Linda White’s office at The Sarubbi Group Palm Beach LLC and tell Linda we didn’t want a single thing changed at 2601 NE 36 St. in Lighthouse Point, Florida on the South Grand Canal. Sold!
A “vibrant happy ambiance” are the words that kick off this description of your future dream home. Described as a “multi-generational home” which we think means you can move in here with your parents or maybe an aunt (?) and everyone would feel comfortable. There are two separate master suites — unexpected! — and a hot tub, of course, along with multiple living areas and kitchens. This exuberant tropicalia-lady spirit continues outside with a saltwater pool containing something called flexible coral. Searching various phrasings of “flexible coral swimming pool” and “where can i get flexible coral” and “i want flexible coral for my swimming pool” did not cede an INCH of space to figuring out what this might mean.
But we do this know: “flexible coral” was the headline selling point for a Big Bubble Miami post about this house that is now 404 Not Founded. This seems to mean no one has done this before, trailblazer status! It cannot be overstated: These owners are/were living la vida loca, and we only hope they are parting with 2601 NE 36th St peacefully. There are also floating docks for jet skis and kayaks, but you probably figured as much! And, in the true style of someone who’s simultaneously figured out how to make money and to have fun, this home isn’t afraid to be exactly what it is: an expensive playground home with grounded, earthy touches like twinkly lights in the living room and a fireplace made out of paper. There are trees with Christmas ornaments next to the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the flexible coral pool. There are multi-level cat homes. There are treadmills on plum-colored carpet with box TVs angled towards them. There are Boteros in the bathroom. There is an elevator. There is a turtle pond. Some rooms are decorated in a much more muted, still lightly funky color palette, which is maybe where the other generation lived.
You can “take a tour with a buyer’s agent” any day this week or next — tomorrow at 11:00 am EST? Saturday @ 9:00 am? Dealer’s choice! This is undeniably one of the most special homes we’ve ever seen, and there’s a lady in each room to welcome you. You are a 10-minute walk from the Venetian Isle Shopping Center, where there is a Publix, a Red Fox Diner, the Haute and Honey boutique, and a nurse practitioner. And Jake’s Yummy Creations! Enjoy your beautiful home <3
